Premiere of ‘Hollywood Parsifals’
Hollywood Parsifals (concerto for orchestra and foley artists) will receive its world premiere by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (cond. Ben Northey) in Melbourne AUS on 21 August 2026. The soloists are foley artist, John Simpson, and percussionist, Eugene Ughetti, sound engineer Alistair McLean.

‘Love Songs Without Subjects’ on vinyl
To celebrate twenty-five years of the wonderful music ensemble, ‘asamisimasa’, the group has teamed up with fellow Norwegians, SOFA music, and have released their seventh album, a recording of Love Songs without Subjects. Featuring the voice of Ditte Marie Bræin, the piece is a musical mediation on a short text culled from the seminars of Jacques Lacan: ‘Love is to give what you do not have, to someone who does not want it’ (orig.: ‘L’amour, c’est donner ce qu’on n’a pas à quelqu’un qui n’en veut pas’).
