‘Love Songs without Subjects’ on vinyl
To celebrate their twenty-fifth anniversary, ‘asamisimasa’ has teamed up with fellow Norwegians, SOFA music, and have released their seventh album, a recording of Love Songs without Subjects. Featuring the voice of Ditte Marie Bræin, the piece is a musical mediation on a short text culled from the seminars of Jacques Lacan: ‘Love is to give what you do not have, to someone who does not want it’ (orig.: ‘L’amour, c’est donner ce qu’on n’a pas à quelqu’un qui n’en veut pas’).
